A RESOLUTION TO RENAME RATCLIFFE ROAD TO BRECKINRIDGE LANE
WHEREAS, Section 20-22 of the Code of the City of Fairfax, Virginia
permits the City Council to change street names; and
WHEREAS, the Breckinfidge Lane Homeowners Association has submitted a
letter to the City Council requesting that Ratcliffe Road be renamed to include the
word "Breckinridge"; and
WHEREAS, Ratcliffe Road serves only as an entrance way to the existing
Breckinridge Lane community; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan no longer includes plans to extend and
connect Ratcliffe Road to Sager Avenue; and
WHEREAS, renaming Ratcliffe Road to Breckinridge Lane would make it
easier to identify and locate the existing Breckinridge Lane community,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia on this 28th day of September, 1999, that Ratcliffe Road shall be
renamed to Breckinridge Lane.
