RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF SUSQUEHANNA
PFALTZGRAFF, BY JOHN MARTEL, AGENT, PURSUANT TO
SECTION 26-48 OF THE CITY CODE FOR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO
CHAPTER 26 OF THE CITY CODE ON THE PREMISES LOCATED AT
9600U MAIN STREET AND FURTHER IDENTIFIED AS TAX MAP
PARCEL 58-3-((2))-23A.
WHEREAS, Susquehanna Pfaltzgraffhas submitted application No. SE-252-99-
1 requesting a Special Exception to modify the City Code as listed below:
Section 26-44(b)(2)a.2 - to allow a building-mounted sign on a wall other than
the building;
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed Special Exception
is appropriate because the proposal meets the requisites established by City of Fairfax
Code Section 26-48;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax on this 23rd day of November, 1999, that Application No. SE-252-99-1 be and
hereby is APPROVED with the following conditions:

The total area of the sign shall not exceed 72.5 square feet.
The returns and trim on the proposed individual channel letters shall be
dark bronze in conformance with the Fair City Mall sign standards.
The sign permit shall not be issued until the property owner has met the
filing requirements of the Commissioner of the Revenue.
