A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE LOCAL PLAN TO THE VIRGINIA
JUVENILE COMMUNITY CRIME CONTROL ACT (VJCCCA) BY
THE FAIRFAX COUNTY JUVENILE AND DOMESTIC RELATIONS COURT
WHEREAS, the Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act, enacted in July
1995, mandated the development of a local plan to provide comprehensive services to youth
and their families; and
WHEREAS, Fairfax County has in place a comprehensive delivery of services to youth
and families through the Juvenile and domestic Relations Court; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax intends to participate in and receive services for its
youth and families through the Virginia Juvenile Community Crime Control Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Fairfax City Council
approves the local plan after consultation with the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic
Relations District Court, and agrees to participate in the execution of its plan.
