19960709 r-96-36RESOLUTION NO. R-96-36 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF JOHN HANCOCK MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY BY STEPHEN D. BRIGLIA, AGENT/ATTORNEY, FOR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO CHAPTER 26 OF THE CITY CODE ON THE PREMISES KNOWN AS THE MOSBY PROFESSIONAL BUILDING, 10560 MAIN STREET, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS A PORTION OF TAX MAP PARCEL 57-2-((2))-156. WHEREAS, John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company, by Stephen D. Briglia, Agent, has submitted Application No. SE-178-96-2 requesting a Special Exception to City Code Section listed below: Section 26-39.4(4) To allow a 43 percent reduction in the number of required spaces. WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed Special Exception meets the requisites established by City of Fairfax Code Section 26- 173(f), Section 26-39.7 and Section 26-103(c) and is appropriate because the proposal: Only marginally increases the existing deficiency in the required number of parking spaces from (40 to 43 percent); Will be adequately accommodated by the existing supply of parking spaces. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax on this July 9, 1996, that Application No. SE-178-96-2 be and hereby is APPROVED with the following condition: The applicant will provide, at its expense, a decorative bench to be located in the existing grass area adjacent to the CUE bus stop. The bench will be constructed in accordance with City standards and subject to approval by the Director of Community Development and Planning. Attest:
