RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF SATURN OF FAIRFAX,
BY MANFRED A. GOETZ, DIRECTOR, FOR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO
CHAPTER 26 OF THE CITY CODE ON THE PREMISES KNOWN AS
SATURN OF FAIRFAX, 3164 CAMPBELL DRIVE, AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS TAX MAP PARCEL 48-3-((9))-030
AND 031.
WHEREAS, Saturn of Fairfax, by Manfred Goetz, Director, has submitted
Application No. SE-159-95-1 requesting a Special Exception to the City Code listed below:
Section 26-39.4 to allow eight parking spaces where 19 are required.
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed Special Exception is
appropriate because the proposal meets the requisites established by City of Fairfax Code
Section 26-103 and 26-39.7 for the following reasons:
The unique character of the proposed auto repair service will generate no
demand for on-site customer parking.
The proposed use is consistent with the recommendations of the
Comprehensive Plan, the Community Appearance Plan and meets the
requisites of the Zoning Ordinance.
3. The proposed use will not have an adverse impact on adjacent properties.
The anticipated increase in traffic will not endanger the general public
health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax on this 26th day of September, 1995, that Application No. SE-159-95-1 be and
hereby is APPROVED, with the following conditions:
1. This facility shall be used for only light maintenance of Saturn vehicles.
Landscaping shall be provided, by Saturn of Fairfax, in the landscape strip
along the Campbell Drive frontage in accordance with the requirements of
section 26-69 of the Zoning Ordinance.

Maintenance of any landscaping along the Campbell Drive frontage shall be
the responsibility of Saturn of Fairfax.
The hours of operation shall be limited to Monday through Friday from 7
a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
5. No more than eight employees shall be allowed to work at this site.

The eight parking spaces located on site shall be designated and used for
employee parking only.
7. No employee parking shall be permitted on Campbell Drive.
No outside storage or parking of customer vehicles shall be permitted on
this site or on Campbell Drive.

No dumpster shall be permitted unless located inside the repair facility.
All customer cars shall be driven to this repair facility by Saturn's service
employees.
The maximum number of cars repaired at this facility shall be limited to 75
vehicles per day.
