CITY COUNCIL GOAL, 1994 - 1996
WHEREAS, the motto of the city "Fare Fac" -- Speak-Do --
derives from the Fairfax family and reminds of the need to follow
up words with action; and
WHEREAS, the community has spoken out strongly in favor of
ensuring the preservation of the City's quality of life into the!
21st Century as demonstrated by broad support for the infrastruc-
ture bond referenda passed in November 1993 and the wide praise
for the conclusions and recommendations of the Fairfax 2020
Commission report; and
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to translate the
Fairfax 2020 Commission recommendations into a set of implementa-
tion plans;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council es-
tablishes as its principle goal for its 1994 - 1996 term of office
the development and initial implementation of a set of action plans
based on the recommendations of the Fairfax 2020 Commission.
