RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF CROWN STATIONS, INC., BY
DANIEL SUTER, REAL ESTATE REPRESENTATIVE, FOR SPECIAL
EXCEPTIONS TO CHAPTER 26 OF THE CITY CODE ON THE PREMISES
KNOWN AS 10800 LEE HIGHWAY, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
AS TAX MAP PARCEL 57-1-((2))-52.
WHEREAS, Crown, Inc., by Daniel Suter, Real Estate Representative, has submitted
application No. SE-136-94-1, requesting Special Exceptions to the City Code listed below:
Section 26-43(a)(3) Table II and (8) To allow installation of a ground-mounted sign two
feet from the right-of-way and front lot line instead of the required 20 feet.
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed Special Exceptions are
appropriate because the proposal meets the requisites established by City of Faiffax Code Section
26-48(b) for the following reasons:
The existing design of the property restricts sign placement which meets the
required 20-foot setback.
The proposed sign location will not produce any negative impacts to vehicular or
pedestrian traffic.
The request is consistent with the purpose of the Sign Ordinance and goal of the
Comprehensive Plan to promote adequate, well-designed signage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax on
this 12th day of July, 1994, that application No. SE-136-94-1 be and hereby is APPROVED.
