A RESOLUTION APPOINTING COMMISSIONERS TO THE
CITY OF FAIRFAX ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
1. WHEREAS, the 1994 session of the General Assembly of Virginia,
amended and reenacted Chapter 643 of the Acts of Assembly of 1964,
as amended (the "Act"), to create the City of Fairfax Economic
Development Authority; and
WHEREAS, the Act recognized the need for an economic
development authority for the City of Fairfax to promote the
development and redevelopment of the City and to attract
industrial, governmental and commercial enterprises to locate in or
remain in the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia has
determined that it is in the best interest of the City and its
citizens to stimulate economic development in the City; and
WHEREAS, by this Resolution, effective October 15, 1994, the
City Council for the City of Fairfax, Virginia, appoints seven
commissioners to the City of Fairfax Economic Development Authority
under the provisions of the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Fairfax, Virginia that there are appointed to the City of
Fairfax Economic Development Authority, effective October 15, 1994,
following initial seven commissioners to serve for the terms
indicated as follows:
