A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A SERVICE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
NORTHERN VIRGINIA CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY ("ACADEMY")
AND THE CITY OF FAIRFAX (THE "CITY")
WHEREAS, the Charter of the Academy is being amended and the
Amended Charter provides, among other things, for Service Agree-
ments between the Academy and the jurisdictions which participate
in the Academy training; and
WHEREAS, the City is a participant in the Academy and it
intends to continue having its personnel trained at the Academy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE FAIRFAX CITY COUNCIL:
1. The City agrees to enter into the Service Agreement with
the Academy as proposed by the Academy Board Chairman by letter
dated March 11, 1993, a copy of which letter with the Service
Agreement is on file with the City Clerk.
2. The City Manager is authorized and directed to execute the
Service Agreement on behalf of the City.
