A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE REVISED DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR
THE OLD TOWN FAIRFAX HISTORIC ANDTRANSITION DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, the City has earned the status of Certified Local
Government and has accepted the privileges and responsibilities
that accompany that designation; and
WHEREAS, the City's boards, commissions and staff responsible
for the review of development within Old Town Fairfax need improved
guidelines that will provide specific direction to assist in that
review; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax received a grant through the
Virginia Department of Historic Resources to revise the Guidelines,
and the City engaged a qualified consultant to perform that task;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Fairfax, Virginia, does hereby approve the revised Design
Guidelines for the Old Town Fairfax Historic and Transition
Districts prepared by Frazier Associates and dated June 1993.
Adopted this 22nd day of June, 1993.
