WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council has decided that bond
referenda shall be presented to the voters on November 2, 1993, on
whether to issue up to $9.5 million in bonds for capital improve-
ment projects; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires that citizens be provided
with as much information as possible so that they can make an
informed decision;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
There is hereby created a body to be called "The 1993
Bond Referenda Citizens Task Force;"
The Task Force shall review a communications program
prepared by the staff using a variety of communications
methods (e.g., brochure and video) to inform residents;
The Task Force and staff shall complete their work no
later than September 15, 1993; and
The Task Force shall be composed of nine City residents,
appointed as follows:
One appointed by the Mayor and by each member of
the Council,
One appointed by the business community,
One appointed by the City's Council of Civic
Associations.
