RESOLUTION AMENDING "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE
AND SALE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS, SERIES
OF 1993, IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $7,450,000 OF THE CITY OF
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, TO REFUND ALL OR A PORTION OF GENERAL
OBLIGATION WATER BONDS, SERIES 1976, AND WATER BONDS, SERIES
OF 1986, OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, AND PROVIDING
FOR THE FORM, DETAILS AND PAYMENT THEREOF"
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, (the
"City"), on November 23, 1993, adopted a resolution entitled
"Resolution Authorizing the Issuance and Sale of General Obligation
Water Refunding Bonds, Series of 1993, in the Maximum Amount of
$7,450,000, of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, to Refund All or a
Portion of General Obligation Water Bonds, Series 1976, and Water
Bonds, Series of 1987, of the City of Fairfax, Virginia, and
Providing for the Form, Details and Payment Thereof" (the "Prior
Resolution"); and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City desires to amend the
redemption date of the 1976 Refunded Bonds, as defined in the Prior
Resolution, to provide that the 1976 Refunded Bonds will be
redeemed on the earliest practicable date;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX,
VIRGINIA:
The redemption date for the 1976 Refunded Bond as stated
in paragraph 14 of the Prior Resolution is amended to
provide that the redemption date is January 20, 1994.
Except as amended hereby,
ratified and confirmed.
