R-92-8 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF FAIRFAX SURGICAL CENTER FOR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION FOR BUILDING REVISION WITHOUT THE REQUIRED PARKING SPACES AT 10730 MAIN STREET WHEREAS, Medical Care International, Inc., has submitted application No. SE-92-92-1 requesting a special exception to City Code Section 26-39.4(b) (3)(j) to permit a 700 square-foot building addition without provision of the four required parking spaces; WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed special exception is appropriate because the proposed develop- ment meets the requisites established by City of Fairfax Code Sections 26-48 and 26-103(c) for the following reasons: The proposal will not increase traffic congestion or negatively impact existing traffic flow or pedestrian and vehicular safety; The proposed special exception is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan's Future Land Use Map which denotes office uses for the subject property; The proposed special exception will permit the reasonable use of the subject property; The proposal will not adversely impact adjacent property or the surrounding area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the City of Fairfax, on this 12th day of May, 1992, that application No. SE-92-92-1 be and hereby is approved with the condition that the proposed 700 square-foot mezzanine addition be used for administrative office space only.
