RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax prohibits illegal drug use and
drug trafficking by its employees in the workplace; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax provides its employees with
confidential access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
through which they can seek assistance with matters pertaining
to substance abuse information, treatment and identification of
available resources; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has provided its supervisors
with training on identification of work performance problems and
behavior changes and the procedures for dealing~with suspected
drug-using employees; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax has and will continue to
provide its employees with a drug education program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Fairfax, that the City, as an employer, does hereby
certify that it has established and will make an on-going good
faith effort to maintain a drug-free workplace.
