MEETING WITH CENTRAL FAIRFAX CHAMBER OF COMMERCE,
THE DOWNTOWN FAIRFAX COALITION AND
THE OLD TOWN FAIRFAX BUSINESS ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the necessity of
promoting cooperative efforts between the council and the business
community of the City; and
WHEREAS, one organization representing the business community
is the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, the Downtown Fairfax Coalition and the Old Town
Fairfax Business Association have evolved to represent the unique
concerns of Old Town Fairfax businesses; and
WHEREAS, these bodies have agreed to hold an informal dinner
meeting on a quarterly basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL:
Hereby endorses and supports an evening dinner meeting
among representatives of the City of Fairfax, Central
Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Fairfax
Coalition, the Old Town Fairfax Business Association, and
other groups as deemed appropriate by the Council, to be
held at a City restaurant on a quarterly basis; and
Hereby agrees to bear expenses of the participants of the
City.
