R-92-45 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF HISTORIC FAIRFAX CITY, INC., BY JOHN GANO, PRESIDENT, FOR SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 10209 MAIN STREET, TAX MAP PARCEL 57-4-((2))-138B. WHEREAS, Historic Fairfax City, Inc., by John Gano, President, has submitted application No. SE-98-92-1 requesting Special Exceptions to the City Code listed below: Section 26-43(a~(3) Ground-mounted signs must be located twenty feet from the public right-of-way. Section 26-43(a)(8) Ground-mounted signs must be set back a minimum of 20 feet from front, side and rear lot lines. WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed Special Exceptions are appropriate because the proposal described in application No. SE-98-92-1 meets the requisites established by City of Fairfax Code Sections 26-103(c) and 26-48 for the following reasons: The site topography and vegetation would obscure signage located twenty feet from all the north and east property lines and the public right-of- The proposed signage is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan goal and purpose of the Sign Ordinance to provide for well-designed and adequate signage; and No negative impacts are anticipated as a result of granting the requested Special Exceptions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax on this 8th day of September, 1992, that application No. SE-98-92-1 be and hereby is APPROVED.
