A RESOLUTION TO REFER TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION
FOR REVIEW THE ISSUE OF WHETHER TO RECOMMEND AN
AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 26, ARTICLE I, SECTION 26-4,
DEFINITIONS, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX TO
PROVIDE A DEFINITION OF "CHURCH."
WHEREAS, there is no definition of "church" in Chapter 26,
Article II, Section 264 (Definitions): and
WHEREAS, a definition of "church" may assist the public, City
officials and zoning staff in determining the intended scope of the
principal use, "church";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Fairfax, Virginia, refer to the Planning Commission for review
the issue of whether to recommend an amendment to Chapter 26, Article
I, Section 26-4, Definitions, of The Code of The City of Fairfax to provide a
definition of "church."
