RESOLUTION SUPPORTING MEN AND WOMEN
SERVING OUR COUNTRY
WHEREAS, Citizens who reside and work in the City of Fairfax have been
called to active duty in support of the United States and allied forces
in the Persian Gulf region; and
WHEREAS, We pledge, in turn, to sustain our support for these citizens
and all brave men and women serving our country to preserve the
ideals of the United States Constitution and uphold the cause of
liberty, peace and justice throughout the world; and
WHEREAS, We stand shoulder to shoulder with all the brave families here
at home, lending strength in times of stress and sharing their
prayers and wishes for peace and the early, safe return of all loved
ones;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Council of the City of
Fairfax to express our deep gratitude and continuing support for the
citizens who reside and work in the City of Fairfax and all brave
men and women who have pledged to serve our country.
