RESOLUTION SUPPORTING MEN AND WOMEN
SERVING OUR COUNTRY
WHEREAS, Councilman Philip Samuel Mershon has been called to activ~
duty in support of the United States and allied forces in the Persian
Gulf region; and
WHEREAS, We pledge, in turn, to sustain our support for Councilman
Mershon and all brave men and women serving our country to
preserve the ideals of the United States Constitution and uphold the
cause of liberty, peace and justice throughout the world; and
WHEREAS, We stand shoulder to shoulder with all the brave families here
at home, lending strength in times of stress and sharing their
prayers and wishes for peace and the early, safe return of all loved
ones;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Council of the City of
Fairfax to express our deep gratitude and continuing support for
Councilman Philip Samuel Mershon and all brave men and women
who have pledged to serve our country.
