RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS CONVEYING EASEMENTS
TO THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA
WHEREAS, it is necessary from time to time for the City
of Fairfax (the "City") to acquire easements for various
public purposes; and
WHEREAS, deeds conveying easements to the city must be
accepted by the city and executed by a person authorized by
resolution to act on behalf of the city; and
WHEREAS, by this resolution, the City Council desires to
authorize the City Manager to accept easements on behalf of
the City, provided that such easements are related to public
projects previously approved and funded by the City Council
or under circumstances wherein the City Manager determines
that the acquisition of easements are necessary to protect the
public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Fairfax hereby authorizes the City Manager to
accept easements on behalf of the City and to execute easement
agreements, approved as to form by the City Attorney, related
to projects previously approved or funded by the City Council
or under circumstances wherein the City Manager determines
that the acquisition of easements are necessary to protect the
public interest.
