RESOLUTION DESIGNATING FOUR AREAS TO BE INCLUDED
IN THE BOUNDARY RELOCATION BETWEEN THE CITY OF FAIRFAX
AND FAIRFAX COUNTY, AUTHORIZING A SURVEY OF SUCH
AREAS AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF THE SURVEY.
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax and Fairfax County have agreed
that the four areas to be included in the boundary relocation
are Maple Terrace, Plantation Parkway extension, Pumpkin Place
and two parcels on Chain Bridge Road south of School Street; and
WHEREAS, a survey of all or a portion of such areas is
necessary to create a legal description of the proposed
relocated boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the City and County have agreed that the cost for
the boundary survey will be shared equally between the City and
the County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Fairfax that Maple Terrace, Plantation Parkway extension,
Pumpkin Place and two parcels on Chain Bridge Road south of
School Street, as further described in exhibit A attached
hereto, will be included in the boundary relocation;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes a
survey of the proposed relocated boundaries and authorizes
payment for the survey at a cost to be shared equally with the
County.
