RESIDENTIAL TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, the Council recognizes the problem of cut-
through traffic in the residential areas of the City; and
WHEREAS, in an attempt to solve this problem, the City
has stated the need to develop a residential traffic manage-
ment plan; and
WHEREAS, to draft a plan to meet the community's needs,
input is desired from the citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Fairfax that an ad hoc task force be established
to advise the Council and city staff in the development of a
City residential traffic management plan;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the task force be comprised
of members appointed by the Mayor and City Council, to include
interested citizens, representatives from local civic associa-
tions, politicians, Transportation Safety Commission members
and Public Works, Planning, Police and Fire personnel; the
Chair to be appointed by the Mayor with the concurrence of
City Council.
