A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF
COUNSEL TO REPRESENT THE CITY OF FAIRFAX,
VIRGINIA, IN LITIGATION TO COLLECT CERTAIN
PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES, PENALTIES AND
INTEREST.
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City Council employ counsel
to collect certain personal property taxes, penalties and interest
assessed against the Ford Equipment Leasing Company for the 1990
tax year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Fairfax, Virginia, that the law firm of Michael C. Montavon,
P.C., is hereby employed and directed to institute, in the name of
the City of Fairfax, all~ legal action as may be necessary to
recover from the Ford Equipment Leasing Company ("Ford Leasing"),
and all other responsible parties, all 1990 personal property
taxes, penalties and interest assessed against Ford Leasing; such
law firm to be compensated by the City at the same hourly rate as
charged by the City Attorney.
ADOPTED this 12th day of November, 1991.
