A RESOLUTION TO RATIFY THE COOPERATION AGREEMENT
(FY 1991-92-93) AMONG THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, COUNTY OF FAIRFAX
AND FAIRFAX COUNTY REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council approved on July 10, 1990, the
intent to renew a cooperation agreement with the County of
Fairfax and Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority;
and
WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed and negotiated the
terms and conditions of the proposed agreement to ensure the
continuing provision of superior services to the citizens of the
City in housing matters; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the Cooperation Agreement, the
city may participate with the County in its application to HUD
for Community Development Block Grant funds and thereby become
eligible to apply for special housing and community development
projects; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of the Cooperation Agreement, the
County will continue to administer housing programs such as Home
Repair for the Elderly and the Home Improvement Loan Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
hereby does ratify the Cooperation Agreement (FY 1991-92-93)
among the city of Fairfax, County of Fairfax and Fairfax County
Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
