WHEREAS, Inova Services, Inc. (#Inova#) a Virginia non-
profit, non-stock corporation, has requested, pursuant to
Section 30-19.04 of the Code of Virginia, that the city
support enactment of legislation by the Virginia General
Assembly pursuant to Article X, Section 6(a) (6) of the
Constitution of Virginia exempting from taxation the property
located at 4315 Chain Bridge Road in the City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 30-19.04B of the Code of
Virginia, the City published a notice of public hearing on
January 19, 1989 in a newspaper of general circulation in the
city of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on January 24, 1989,
at which time citizens and Inova had an opportunity to be
heard on the proposed legislation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council carefully examined and
considered the questions set forth in Section 30-19.04B1-8 of
the Code of Virginia;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
city of Fairfax, Virginia urges the General Assembly to deny
Inova's request for exemption of taxation for their property
located at 4315 Chain Bridge Road in the City of Fairfax.
