WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax desires to acquire property
for public parking purposes; and
WHEREAS, the city of Fairfax has designated a site
located at 3950 University Drive within the city of Fairfax,
further described as Tax Map No. 57-2-((2))-167A, as an
appropriate site for public parking; and
WHEREAS, the city of Fairfax has determined that it is in
the public interest to purchase the property for use for
public parking;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the city Council of
the city of Fairfax authorizes the City Manager to execute a
contract to purchase the property located at 3950 University
Drive in the City of Fairfax, Virginia in accordance with the
following terms:
1. Purchase price of $402,346.31, and
2. City of Fairfax to pay all closing costs, and
3. Contract execution by May 1, 1989 with settlement on
the property by July 1, 1989.
