19880412 r-88-12 RESOLUTION NO. R-88-12 1-66 Corridor Sound Barrier WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Fairfax living in the Mosby Woods Subdivision have established before the City Council of the City of Fairfax the need for a sound barrier along Route 66 where it abuts the northern boundary of the City of Fairfax, and WHEREAS, it is necessary for a formal request to be made to the Department of Highway and Transportation of the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Council of the City of Fairfax for each project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, at its regular meeting on this 12th day of April, 1988, that the Department of Highways and Transportation of the Commonwealth of Virginia be, and it is hereby requested to establish and set up a project adjacent to the City of Fairfax, Virginia, to construct a sound barrier along Route 66 where it abuts the northern boundary of the City of Fairfax, Virginia. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Fairfax is eager to cooperate with the Commonwealth of Virginia in the completion of this project. Adopted this 12th day of April , 1988.
