A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF PUBLIC STORAGE, INC. BY CHERYL HAMILTON,
DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR, FOR SPECIAL EXCEPTION FROM SPECIFIED PROVISIONS OF
CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 9720 LEE
HIGHWAY AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS TAX MAP 48-3-((10))-11.
WHEREAS, Public Storage, Inc., has submitted application No. SE-33-88-1
requesting the Special Exception to the City Code listed below:
Section 26-39.4(b)(4a): To reduce the number of required parking spaces
from 125 to 56.
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed Special Exception
is appropriate because the proposed development meets the requisites establish-
ed by Fairfax City Code Section 26-39.7(c) for the following reasons:
1. Will not result in increased traffic congestion or otherwise
negatively impact existing traffic flow or pedestrian and
vehicular safety; and
2. Will not be contrary to the objective specified in the compre-
hensive plan; and
3. Will permit the reasonable use of the subject property; and
4. Will not adversely impact adjacent property or the surrounding
area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
on this 12th day of April, 1988, that application No. SE-33-88-1 be and hereby
is approved.
