A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF H.H.E. LIMITED PARTNERSHIP
BY E1LEEN M. WEISIGER, GENERAL PARTNER, FOR A SPECIAL EXCEPTION
FROM THE SPECIFIED PROVISION OF CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF FAIRFAX FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3775 PICKETT ROAD AND
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS TAX MAP 5g-I-((2))-3Q
WHEREAS~ H.H.E. Limited Partnership has submitted application No.
requesting the special exception to the City Code listed below:
Section 26-4~(b)(2c) to allow a 40 square foot free-standing directory sign where
a 20 square foot directory sign is permitted.
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed spedal exception,
with modification, is appropriate because the proposed development meets the
requisites established by Falrfax City Code Section 26-48(b) for the following
re aso ns:
The applicant has clearly demonstrated that requirements contained in this
division will present a unique burden due to unusual topography, Yegeta-
tion, building design or lot shape~ and
The City Council has determined that the granting of the spedal exception
will not be inconsistent with the Comprehensive Plan or the purpose of the
division as stated in Section 26-~0.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Falrfax, on this 28 day of dune ,1988, that application No. SE-37-88-1 be
and hereby is approved with the following condition:
o The directory sign be the only free-standing sign on the property.
