WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the necessity of promoting cooperative
efforts between the Council and the business sector of the City; and
WHEREAS, the organization representing the business sector is the Central
Fairfax Chamber of Commerce; the Old Town Fairfax Business Association has
evolved to represent the unique concerns of Old Town Fairfax businesses; and
WHEREAS, these bodies have agreed to hold an informal dinner meeting on a
quarterly basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL:
1. Hereby endorses and supports an evening dinner meeting to be held at a
City restaurant on a quarterly basis; and
2. Hereby authorizes the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce to set the
dates of the meetings and select, on a rotating basis, the site in a City
restaurant; and

Hereby agrees to bear expenses of the participants of the City.
