A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE REQUEST OF FAIRFAX AUTO VISUAL
B ¥ DAVID A. DESANTO, OWNER, FOR SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS FROM THE
SPECIFIED PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF THE CIT¥
OF FAIRFAX FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 10423 MAIN STREET AND
MORE PARTICULARL¥ DESCRIBED AS TAX MAP 57-4-((2))-91.
WHEREAS, Fairfax Auto Visual has submitted application No. SE-36-88-1
requesting the special exception to the City Code listed below:
A. Section 26-33(b)(4)(a) to allow a free-standing sign that will be 13.5 feet in
height where 12 feet is permitted and 20 square feet in area where eight
square feet is permitted, and
B. Section 26-44(b)(4)(b) to allow a free-standing sign with plastic materials
on the sign face, plastic materials are prohibited in the Old and Historic
District, and
C. Section 26-44(b)(4)(e) to allow a free-standing back-lit sign in the Old and
Historic District where back-lit signs are prohibited.
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposed special exceptions
are appropriate because the proposed development meets the requisites established
by Fairfax City Code Sections 26-44(b)(4)(a), 26-44(b)(4)(b), and 26-44(b)(4)(e) for the
following reasons:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, on this 2nd day of August .., 1988, that application No. SE-36-88-1 be
and hereby is APPROVED.
