WHEREAS, suits have been filed against Fairfax City 'Police Officers Roy
Castillo and John R. Kenyon by Elaine M. Ascione and Jean Cook, alleging
liability on the part of the officers for actions taken by them while per-
forming duties for the Fairfax City Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the officers were performing their duties as Fairfax City Police
Department Officers at the times alleged in the suits;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, that the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to under-
take the legal representation of the officers in these suits.
