A resolution that the City of Fairfax requests acceptance to the Certified
Local Government Program sponsored by the Virginia Division of Historic
Landmarks.
WHEREAS, the Virginia Division of Historic Landmarks is soliciting appli-
cations for the Certified Local Government Program for historic preservation
purposes; and
WHEREAS, this program gives local governments greater participation in the
historic preservation process; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax wishes to protect the historic structures in
its Old and Historic District and in other Districts yet to be named; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax wishes to participate in the Certified Local
Government Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Fairfax
on this 30th day of August , 1988, requests acceptance to the
Certified Local Government Programs.
