A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR
THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council directed the Planning Commission to develop a
revised Transportation Element of the City's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission prepared a revised Transportation Ele-
ment, heTd public hearings and certified a copy of the Element, to City Council
~ursuant to Section 15.1-449 of the Code of Virginia; and
WHEREAS, on December 9, 1986, the City Council held a public hearing to
receive public testimony on the revised Transportation Element; and
WHEREAS, Council has carefully considered that testimony and the recom-
mendations from the Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED On this 23rd day of June, 1987, that the
revised Transportation Element dated June 10, 1987 hereby is adopted as an
element of the City's Comprehensive Plan and does supercede the transportation
section previously contained in that Plan.
