WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax is a member of the Northern Virginia Trans-
portation Commission (NVTC); and
WHEREAS, NVTC will become a signatory to a Master Agreement establishing
the Virginia Railway Express (a commuter railway); and
WHEREAS, the City will not become a signatory to said Master Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Fairfax fully supports
the concept of the Virginia Railway Express and fully supports the position taken by
its Mayor, as representative to NVTC.
