A RESOLUTION TO CHANGE THE SPELLING OF ROGERS ROAD TO RODGERS ROAD
WHEREAS, the subject road is spelled "ROGERS" Road on the "Official Street
Names and Property Numbering Atlas"; and
WHEREAS, Section 20-22 of the Fairfax City Code permits the City Council
to change street names; and
WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the City Council signed by the
owners of sixteen of the nineteen properties having Rogers Road addresses re-
questing the spelling change; and
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that because many official documents
bear the requested spelling, changing the official name from Rogers to Rodgers
Road will eliminate confusion with respect to the identification of properties
on that road,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia on this 14th day of October, 1986, that the official spelling of
Rogers Road shall henceforth be Rodgers Road.
