WHEREAS~ the maximum School Board salary is set by the Virginia General
Assembly; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax would like to increase the salary currently paid
to School Board members;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Fairfax) requests the General Assembly to amend the Code of Virginia to set the
maximum annual salary for the School Board members at $1,000 per year.
