RESOLUTION CREATING A TRAFFIC TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, the solving of the City's traffic problems are a priority to
the City Council;
WHEREAS, the solving of the City's traffic problems is a priority to
the citizens of the City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, it is important to draw various segments of the Council,
community and staff in the development process;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council:
1. Hereby establishes a special task force to identify ways to improve
the internal traffic problems in the City of Fairfax.
2. The task force will work with the Council representatives on the
City/County traffic subcommittee regarding the identification of ways to
better route traffic around the City of Fairfax.
3. The task force will report to the Council in the Fall of 1984.
4. The task force will be made up of the following:
the chairman of the City/County traffic task force
two representatives of the traffic safety commission plus the Council
representative
one member of the Planning Commission
one citizen at large
one member of Economic Development Task Force
the Director of Public Works
the Chief of both the Fire and Police departments
the Director of Planning
the City Manager
the Mayor will serve as an ex-officio member of the task force
