19830111 r-83-7 RESOLUTION NO.R-83-7 FOR PUBLIC EMPLOYEES APpRECiATiON DAY January 17, 1983 WHEREAS the President and the Congress have designated Monday, January 17, 1983, as a day of national appreciation for the services of public employees, and WHEREAS the City of Fairfax benefits from the varied skills and dedicated public service of its career employees, and WHEREAS the Mayor and Council, speaking for all of the residents and businesses of the City, wish to express well-deserved appreciation for the services of our City employees, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council recognize and endorse the designation of Monday, January 17, 1983, as a day of special appreciation for the services of the City's career public servants, and that City employees are commended for their dedication and skill in providing the services that contribute a great deal to the high quality of life in our City, and that a copy of this Resolution should be given to every member of City staff.
