A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA,
APPLAUDING THE FRIENDS OF FAIRFAX CITY COMMITTEE UPON THE SUCCESS
OF THEIR RECENT FAIRFAX CITY GALA AND DANCE.
WHEREAS, the recent Fairfax City Gala was considered a tremendous
success by this City Council;
WHEREAS, this type of City wide function enhances community pride
and spirit;
WHEREAS, the organization for this function was provided by
volunteer organization made from various city citizens with
no expenditures of official City funds or or staff involve-
ment;
WHEREAS, all the revenue and other expenses generated by this
event will be donated to the Historic Fairfax City Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Fairfax City Council
applaudes the efforts of the Friends of Fairfax City Commit-
tee for providing the citizens of the City of Fairfax with
an opportunity to socially gather in an informal environment
during the recent Fairfax City gala and dance held Feb-
ruary 19, 1983, at Fair City Mall.
Adopted by the City Council at its regular meeting held on this,
the 22nd day of February, 1983.
