RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH AN ANNUAL AII/ARD
AT FAIRFAX HIGH SCHOOL
· 'HEREAS, the City of Fairfax recognizes that its young citizens represent
its future; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fairfax wishes to reward the achievements and to
encourage the potential of its young citizens; and
WHEREAS~ Fairfax High School has established three awards for graduating
seniors called The High School Award, The Faculty Award, and The Service Award;
and
~tHEREAS~ the recipients of these awards are selected on the basis of schol-
arship, loyalty, leadership, service, and citizenship by secret ballot of the Fairfax
High School faculty;
NO~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLYED that:
The recipients of these awards shall be presented by City Council with one-
time cash awards as follows: $500 for The High School Award; $300 for The Faculty
Award; and $200 for The Service Award.
