PAST DUE TREASURER'S REPORTS
WHEREAS, the former Treasurer, Mrs. Frances L. Cox,
completed her term of office on December 31, 1981; and
WHEREAS, as of this date there are a number of
Treasurer's Reports which have not been prepared which Treasurer s
Reports are for various dates in the calendar year 1981; and
WHEREAS, it is essential to proper record keeping and
for the completion of the transition audit that these reports
be completed as soon as possible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
The City of Fairfax as follows:
That the present Treasurer of the City
of Fairfax, John W. Coughlan, is hereby
requested to complete all of the out-
standing Treasurer's Reports for 1981
with his staff; and
In the event that the Treasurer feels that
additional personnel are necessary in order
to complete this task, the City Council,
upon request, will authorize such reasonable
requests; and
That the City Council will hold ~r. Coughlan
and his staff harmless and will agree to
indemnify them for and against any liability or
any claims of other parties against them for
their good faith effort to perform these
tasks; and
The Treasurer shall upon completion of these
reports make them available to the former
Treasurer of the City of Fairfax, ~rs. Frances
L. Cox, for her review~
