Approval and Adoption of Revised Comprehensive
Plan for the City of Fairfax
WHEREAS, the City Council rejected the March 8, 1982 draft
revised Comprehensive Plan as recommended by the Planning
Commission and referred the document back to the Planning
Commission for discussion and revision; and
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission, on June 28, 1982, by
resolution adopted and certified to the City Council a document
containing their recommendations for a revised Comprehensive Plan
for the City of Fairfax; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 15.1-450 of the Code of
Virginia, such document was the subject of a duly advertised public
hearing held at a meeting of this Council on June 29, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has carefully considered all
recommendations and has discussed the Plan in detail at previous
public hearings and work sessions and has worked openly with all
citizens in an effort to maximize citizen participation in the
planning process; and
WHEREAS, by action on June 29, 1982, the City Council amended
the revised Plan as recommended by the Planning Commission;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that:
In accordance with Section 15.1-450 of the Code of Virginia,
the Revised Comprehensive Plan of the City of Fairfax, as amended,
is hereby approved and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Fairfax.
