WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the necessity of promdting
cooperative efforts between the Council and the business sector of the
City;' and ~
WHEREAS, the organization representing the business sector is the
Fairfax City Chamber of Commerce; and
Whereas, these two bodies have agreed to hold an informal dinner
meeting on a quarterly basis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL:
1. Hereby ~ndorsesand support~i an evening dinner meeting to be
held at a City restaurant on a quarterly basis; and
2. Hereby authorizesthe City Chamber of Commerce to set the dates
of the meetings and select, on a rotating basis, the site in a City
restaurant; and
3. Hereby agreeSto bear the expense of two of these said meetings
not to exceed twenty of the participants.
