RESOLUTION ON THE FAIRFAX CITY
COMMISSION ON THE ARTS
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Commission on the Arts has been
highly successful in fulfilling the responsibilities assigned it;
and
WHEREAS, the Commission has identified numerous areas of
activity, participation in which is inhibited by the relatively
small number of Commission members; and
WHEREAS, it has become apparent to the City Council that many
interested and capable citizens should be given an opportunity to
participate in the work of the Commission by expanding its size;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT
1. The ~membership of the Fairfax City Commission on the
Arts shall hereby be increased by two members each of whom shall
serve three-year terms.
2. The members initially appointed as a result of this
resolution shall initially serve a one-year and a two-year term.
Subsequent appointments at the end of these respective terms shall
be for the normal three-year ter~.
