RESOLUTION FOR RELOCATION/ADJUSTMENT OF
UTILITIES FOR PICKETT ROAD RECONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the Highway Department proposes to construct or
otherwise improve a section of Pickett Road between Arlington
Boulevard and Little River Turnpike (Route 50 - Route 236)
designated as Highway Project U000-151-102, C501, B601; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is responsible for making
arrangements for the adjustment and/or relocation of certain
utilities and for the installation of any new facilities;
NOW, TttEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
Fairfax hereby certifies that all arrangements have been made
or will be made for the relocation and/or adjustment of said
utility facilities, and for the installation of any new
facilities and further, in the event of any justifiable claim
from the road contractor for delays or interference caused by
the City's failure to properly make the aforesaid arrangements,
provided the contractor may legally make such claim and further
provided that the City is advised in writing by the Highway
Department at the time of delay that the road contractor intends
to file a claim that the City will accept the responsibility
therefore.
