BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Fairfax, Virginia, that
This Council inform the Delegation for Northern Virginia,
and specifically our Delegates, that we approve the proposed
House Bill No. 950 which is presently being considered by the
State Senate, with the exception that we would request
(1) That the sentence beginning at the end of line 19 on
page 1, which reads, "No such tax shall be effective within a
(multi-member) transportation district unless all localities
within such district have imposed such tax.", be removed from
the bill; and
(2~) That the paragraph beginning with line 27 on page 7 be
amended to read in its entirety as follows, "The moneys paid
to the counties and cities shall be used for roads, streets
and other transportation purposes, as determined by the local
governing bodies."
