WHEREAS, City Attorney John H. Rust, Sr., for reasons
of health, has requested to be relieved of overall responsibility
for the legal affairs of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fairfax desires to
retain his services and the services of his firm, Rust, Rust
and Pratt, in the future; and,
WHEREAS, John H. RuSt, Jr., a member of the firm, has
agreed to serve as City Attorney in the place and stead of
John H. Rust, Sr.,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Fairfax, Virginia, that John H. Rust, Jr. be and he
hereby is appointed City Attorney of the City of Fairfax,
Virginia, in the place and stead of John H. Rust, Sr., and
John H. RuSt, Sr. is designated as Assistant City Attorney, and
the terms and conditions of the retainer agreement between the
City of Fairfax and the firm of Rust, Rust and Pratt are hereby
continued.
