WHEREAS, the Center City Commission of the City of Fairfax has
been standing by, pending consideration of their Traffic Patterns,
Land Use, and Zoning Report, delivered to the Fairfax City Council
during January, 1973, and
WHEREAS, the Fairfax City Council has taken several actions in
regard to the above described report, and
WHEREAS, the resolution creating the Center City Commission
specifies that there shall be prepared a Development Plan and Report,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Center City Commission
is requested to accomplish the work described below:
1. On or by June 30, 1974, produce a memorandum type report
describing any changes to the initial report deemed appro-
priate in light of conditions changed since its generation,
and commenting upon the completness and suitability of
actions so far taken by the City relative to the initial
Commission recommendations.
2. On or by October 30, 1974, produce a report describing a
Development Plan for the Center City consisting of
- Recommended specific development projects, both public
and private;
- Recommended staging of development;
- Comprehensive planning and long-term budgeting of needed
public services and/or facili%ies;
- Recommendations relative to new or modified City agencies,
development vehicles or inducements needed to accomplish

desired developments; and
- Recommendations relative to any changes in the
City Charter or Code including the Subdivision
Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance necessary to
accomplish desired developments.
The Chairman of the Commission shall report quarterly to
the City Council on the progress made by the Commission. Where
the Commission, either as a group or individually, feel it
useful, minority or alternative views shall be filed with the
above reports.
