RESOLUTION NO. R-74-10
A RESOLUTION approving the location and design of certain improvements
to Route 237 from 0.083 mi~e south of Accotink Creek to Fairfax Circle, in the
City, proposed as State Highway Project 0237-151-101, PE-101, RW-201, C-501, B-601.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted on April 9, 1974, in the City by
a representative of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Highways, after
due and proper notice, for the purpose of considering the proposed location and
design of Route 237 from 0.083 mile south of Accotink Creek to Fairfax Circle, in
the City, at which hearing maps, drawings and other pertinent information were
made available for public inspection and tentative schedules for right-of-way
acquisition and construction were discussed and presented; and all persons and
parties in attendance were afforded full opportunity to participate in said public
hearing, representatives of the City being present and participating is said hear-
ing, and
WHEREAS, this Council, considering all such matters, is of opinion to
give the approval hereinafter contained.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fairfax, Vir-
ginia, that said Council doth approve the location and design of the improvements
proposed to be made to Route 237 from 0.083 mile south of Accotink Creek to
Fairfax Circle, in the City of Fairfax, as the location and design of said Route 237
are shown on the plans prepared by the Virginia Department of Highways as State
Highway Project 0237-151-101,PE-101,RW-201,C-501,B-601.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager do promptly transmit at-
tested copies of this resolution to the State Highway Commission of Virginia,
through official channels of the Virginia Department of Highways.
